A Blog for the Misfits

This blog was created to inspire, to unite, in the struggle for freedom. Everyday I am forced to arm myself physically, mentally, and emotionally every time I leave my house because of who I am. Everyday my voice, my story, my pain is dismissed because it goes far beyond the eye can see. These are my stories in their most raw form. These are the stories of silenced generations who have fought this same fight so that I could exist to tell mine. 

 

I am a 22 year old latinx trans system impacted queer first generation law student who has been through so much pain it forced me to find love. We are living in a time of deep polarity where fear is continuously triumphant in its war against love, against peace. As a trans person, I have had the privilege of embarking on a liberating and euphoric journey of self discovery which allowed me to deconstruct the societal constraints placed upon us that are aimed at tarnishing our power through our day to day lives. This has expanded my level of awareness but also made me feel isolated in a world full of humans. In this journey I gained SO MUCH knowledge, wisdom, and love but I also lost a part of myself. This is me restoring that part -one poem, one story, one day- at a time. Thank you for being a part of my journey <3
